Two-factor authentication (2FA)

To use the Cryptorg account fully, you need to set up a second factor for site login.

Note

All significant account actions inside Cryptorg are protected by two-step authentication, which keeps the account safe from unauthorized access. That means you’ll need to enter the Cryptorg Code or Google 2FA code at least once a day.

The second factor can be one of two types:

• Google 2FA
• Cryptorg Code (6-digit PIN)

Google 2FA

To use this authentication type, install the app on your smartphone:

• Android: Google Authenticator
• iOS: Google Authenticator

Go to Account settings on Cryptorg, Security section.

Open the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone, tap the «+» icon and scan the QR code. Then enter the code from the app into the «Two-step authorization code» field along with the verification code sent to your email.

Caution

Save the secret code. You’ll need it if you lose your smartphone. Details: 2FA recovery.

Tip

You can also use the alternative Authy app, which allows recovering your account with all the passwords.

Cryptorg Code

Simple authentication method: choose the type and follow the instructions. Make sure to write down the PIN on paper for safe storage.

Note

Cryptorg Code is less secure than Google 2FA.
