Absolute Price Oscillator (APO)

Absolute Price Oscillator — the absolute difference between a fast and a slow EMA. Absolute Price Oscillator (APO) shows the absolute (not percentage) difference between a fast and a slow EMA. Unlike PPO, the APO value depends on the asset’s price. It is used to determine the direction and strength of a trend.

Formula:

APO = EMA(fast) - EMA(slow)
Signal = EMA(APO, signal_length)
Histogram = APO - Signal
