CMI

Community Channel Index — a variant of CCI for measuring the deviation of price from a mean. Community Channel Index (CMI) is an indicator that measures the ratio of the directional price movement (from open to close over the period) to the full range of movement (from low to high over the period). Values above +100 indicate an uptrend, below -100 — a downtrend.

Formula:

Net Move = Close - Close[period]
Total Range = Highest(High,period) - Lowest(Low,period)
CMI = (Net Move / Total Range) * 100

Trigger	Direction	Condition	Description
Level cross up	🟢 Buy	The indicator value crossed the specified level from below to above.	The CMI line crosses the configurable level Level from below to above. Level is set in the trigger parameters.
Level cross down	🔴 Sell	The indicator value crossed the specified level from above to below.	The CMI line crosses the Level from above to below. Level is set in the trigger parameters.
Value above level by N	🟢 Buy	The indicator value rose above the level by the specified distance.	The CMI line crosses the Level + Distance mark, moving up. The distance delays entry until a confirmed breakout of the level.
Value below level by N	🔴 Sell	The indicator value dropped below the level by the specified distance.	The CMI line crosses the Level − Distance mark, moving down.
Value rising	🟢 Buy	The indicator value is rising relative to the previous bar.	The CMI line is higher on the current bar than on the previous one — upward momentum.
Value falling	🔴 Sell	The indicator value is falling relative to the previous bar.	The CMI line is lower on the current bar than on the previous one — downward momentum. Fires on every declining bar.
Slope turns positive	🟢 Buy	The indicator slope turned positive — an upward reversal.	The CMI line changes its slope from descending to ascending — the indicator stopped falling and started rising.
Slope turns negative	🔴 Sell	The indicator slope turned negative — a downward reversal.	The CMI line changes its slope from ascending to descending — the indicator stopped rising and started falling.
Zero cross up	🟢 Buy	The indicator line crossed zero from below to above — a buy signal.	The CMI line crosses the zero level from below to above.
Zero cross down	🔴 Sell	The indicator line crossed zero from above to below — a sell signal.	The CMI line crosses the zero level from above to below.
Enter overbought zone	🔴 Sell	The oscillator entered the overbought zone.	The CMI line crosses the overbought threshold Overbought from below to above — the upper extreme of the range is reached. In a counter-trend strategy it is used as a sell signal.
Enter oversold zone	🟢 Buy	The oscillator entered the oversold zone.	The CMI line crosses the oversold threshold Oversold from above to below — the lower extreme of the range is reached. In a counter-trend strategy it is used as a buy signal.
Exit overbought zone	🔴 Sell	The oscillator exited the overbought zone.	The CMI line returns below the overbought threshold Overbought — the upward momentum weakens.
Exit oversold zone	🟢 Buy	The oscillator exited the oversold zone.	The CMI line rises above the oversold threshold Oversold — the downward momentum weakens.
