Bull Bear Power

Elder indicator: bull power (high minus EMA) and bear power (low minus EMA). Bull Bear Power consists of two components: Bull Power (High - EMA) and Bear Power (Low - EMA). It is used together with ADX or other trend indicators. A divergence between Bull/Bear Power and price is a potential reversal signal.

Formula:

EMA = EMA(Close, period)
Bull Power = High - EMA
Bear Power = Low  - EMA

Trigger	Direction	Condition	Description
Level cross up	🟢 Buy	The indicator value crossed the specified level from below to above.	The Bull/Bear Power value crosses the configurable level Level from below to above. Level is set in the trigger parameters.
Level cross down	🔴 Sell	The indicator value crossed the specified level from above to below.	The Bull/Bear Power value crosses the Level from above to below. Level is set in the trigger parameters.
Value above level by N	🟢 Buy	The indicator value rose above the level by the specified distance.	The Bull/Bear Power value crosses the Level + Distance mark, moving up. The distance delays entry until a confirmed breakout of the level.
Value below level by N	🔴 Sell	The indicator value dropped below the level by the specified distance.	The Bull/Bear Power value crosses the Level − Distance mark, moving down.
Value rising	🟢 Buy	The indicator value is rising relative to the previous bar.	The Bull/Bear Power value is higher on the current bar than on the previous one — upward momentum.
Value falling	🔴 Sell	The indicator value is falling relative to the previous bar.	The Bull/Bear Power value is lower on the current bar than on the previous one — downward momentum. Fires on every declining bar.
Slope turns positive	🟢 Buy	The indicator slope turned positive — an upward reversal.	The Bull/Bear Power value changes its slope from descending to ascending — the indicator stopped falling and started rising.
Slope turns negative	🔴 Sell	The indicator slope turned negative — a downward reversal.	The Bull/Bear Power value changes its slope from ascending to descending — the indicator stopped rising and started falling.
Signal line cross up	🟢 Buy	The main line crossed the signal line from below to above — a buy signal.	Bull Power (High − EMA) crosses Bear Power (Low − EMA) from below to above — the buyers’ edge is growing.
Signal line cross down	🔴 Sell	The main line crossed the signal line from above to below — a sell signal.	Bull Power (High − EMA) crosses Bear Power (Low − EMA) from above to below — the sellers’ edge is growing.
Zero cross up	🟢 Buy	The indicator line crossed zero from below to above — a buy signal.	The Bull/Bear Power value crosses the zero level from below to above.
Zero cross down	🔴 Sell	The indicator line crossed zero from above to below — a sell signal.	The Bull/Bear Power value crosses the zero level from above to below.
Line diverges from signal	↕️ Both	The distance between the main line and the signal line increased by the specified amount.	Bull Power and Bear Power diverge — the imbalance between bulls and bears is strengthening.
Line converges to signal	↕️ Both	The distance between the main line and the signal line decreased by the specified amount.	Bull Power and Bear Power converge — the forces of bulls and bears are evening out.
Uptrend start	🟢 Buy	The indicator switched to an uptrend.	Fires when a trend indicator (ADX/DMI, Ichimoku, Supertrend, etc.) signals the start of an uptrend.
Downtrend start	🔴 Sell	The indicator switched to a downtrend.	Fires when a trend indicator (ADX/DMI, Ichimoku, Supertrend, etc.) signals the start of a downtrend. The specific condition depends on the indicator.
